Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of our CPA firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and client accounting services to ensure our clients' needs are met effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Develop and maintain budgets for the firm and its clients
- Implement and manage outsourced accounting services
- Coordinate client accounting services and maintain strong client relationships
- Evaluate and improve internal controls and accounting processes
- Assist in tax preparation and compliance as necessary
- Collaborate with partners to provide insights on financial performance and strategic planning
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or a CPA firm
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools
